1. Download from our site or from http://www.Ventrilo.com

2. Install.

3. Click the "->" symbol next to "name", and create a new name. The Phoenetic box is for how your name will sound when you join the server.
So for "Lelldorianx" I typed "Lell" in the phoenetic box.

4. Click OK for name, then click the "->" next to "server". A box pops up, type anything you want in it, then type the following:

Hostname/IP: ventrilo2.ecgnetwork.com
Port: 4334
Password (case sensative): phoenix

Click OK

Click Connect

It will say "(GUEST)" next to your name, once you become a full dop member, we will fix that.

Next, you want to change your Setup, this is IMPORTANT!

a. Click "Setup"

b. Place a checkmark next to "Enable outgoing voice communications"
(so you can talk!) and "Use Push To Talk Hotkey (PTT Mode)" (so you can use a key to talk, instead of voice activation). Now, uncheck the Use Direct Input to detect Hotkey, Discard Hotkey, and Play Key Clicks. Next, choose a hotkey in the horizontal rectangle input field.

c. In the top right, check Use Direct Sound for both output and input devices.

d. Change your output and input devices to your headset/microphone respectively.

e. Click OK.

f. Hold down your talk key to talk, release to stop talking.

g. You are done! Have fun talking with our crazy clan on vent!
